Unlocking the Universe
Observations from a twenty-something-year-old experiencing a spiritual awakening.
If you’re into the magic of life and a bit of woo-woo, then this may be the article for you. If not, keep scrolling, swiping… whatever you do.
The year 2020 was a beautiful transformational year. It was far from easy, through a rollercoaster of turmoil (and my sign is cancer, so that certainly didn’t help much!). On my journey of self-discovery after feeling like reality completely crumbled (yes, I may be an actress, but I can safely assure you that this dramatic statement is undermining how it truly felt), I awakened to a lot of concepts and feelings about my self, life, and the universe. Suddenly, I’m surrounded by signs, magic, synchronicities, and deep inner truths that make me feel more confident and my truest self.
One odd realization was a simple concept that perhaps, the people we encounter in life represent a part of ourselves. Some people reflect on good things while others reflect on the bad. They show us what we need to learn. If life is a major place and journey of learning, then this makes some sense. Have you ever given someone else advice that you realize you needed as well? It’s easier to give advice to someone else rather than our very own selves.
With that in mind, think of the “people in your way” of a goal, dream, or aspiration. If “they” are holding you back, the truth is that perhaps, YOU are the one holding yourself back. It’s easier to blame anyone but yourself.
If that is true, how do we fix this and accomplish our dreams?
By taking back our control.
Everything in our life is in our control. We just have to believe it! If you’re still reading this thinking “hoopla”, please take an additional moment to think of someone standing in your way. What are the negative feelings and emotions towards them? How does that reflect your own self? Do you see what I’m saying?
I have tried this on account of many people throughout my life and was SHOCKED by how much I discovered about myself. Good or bad, people enter and leave our lives for a reason, the same way we do for others. Recognizing these reasons helps us take control of more self-discovery and refocusing on what we can do to better ourselves.
I’d love to hear what you think about this and I am always up for discussion. Feel free to reach out in the comments or online @sarahfhamilton.
Happy New Year!
